Have you been wondering how to make an avocado rose? It's surprisingly simple, and today you'll learn how to choose an avocado, slice it and arrange it in to an rose shape.

How to choose an avocado for an avocado rose:

  • Select an avocado that's ripe but still firm
  • Make sure you have a sharp, small knife
  • Start with a piece of parchment paper, or a spatula under your aocado if you intend to move it after you're done.

How to Make an Avocado Rose

Select a ripe but firm avocado.

Use the half without the avocado pit or seed

Turn the avocado half face down.

Turn the avocado perpendicular to your body with the smaller end pointing towards your dominant hand.

Continue to make vert slciess, as thinly as possible, while maintaining the shape, all the way across

Once you're doing slicing, adjust the slice to maintain the original shape of the avocado.

Slowly and gently, starting on your dominant hand side, begin to fan out the slices as shown.

Continue to fan out the slices, into a thin line.

Make sure to be as gentle and not dent any of the slices. The thinner you can fan the pieces out, the better.

Once you're finished fanning the avocado out, it should look something like this.

Slowly begin to curl the right side of the avocado upwards and inwards.

Continue to curl the right side inwards into a circle as shown. Once the right side is "tucked in," make sure the pieces are still stuck together.

Make sure to go slowly to maintain the rose shape. Repeat the previous step with the left side, curling upwards and inwards

Continue to cure the left side around until it closes the circle...and you have your avocado rose!
