Why This Recipe Works Well for People with Diabetes
For people managing diabetes, choosing foods that support stable blood sugar is important. This High Protein Low Carb Spinach Artichoke Dip offers several benefits.
- The higher protein content can help slow digestion and promote fullness, which may reduce blood sugar spikes after eating. Protein also supports balanced energy levels throughout the day.
- The combination of fiber-rich spinach, artichokes, and beans helps slow carbohydrate absorption. Fiber plays an important role in blood sugar management because it can improve glycemic response and support better overall glucose control.
The relatively moderate carbohydrate content (11g per serving) makes portion planning easier compared to many traditional dips served with refined crackers or bread.
To make it even more diabetes-friendly, pair it with fresh vegetables like celery, cucumber slices, bell peppers, or broccoli instead of chips or bread.
